This is the second of the models that Buchi came out with ("Rotavapor" came out in 1957, these arrived in 1971),
and besides the fact that they are the least expensive model we carry,
Model R's are probably the most reliable rotovap Buchi has ever made.
Also they are made of METAL not plastic, which means they will survive a lot more wear and tear and just keep on running.
The mere fact that ever after ~40 years~ they are still running strong attests to their great design!
